Marina Bozic

Dental nurse

I am a dental nurse here at Clinic 95, having started working as a dental nurse trainee in July 2014. I got my National Diploma in Dental Nursing in Kings College, London in January 2016.

The most work-related question I am asked is “I have pain here. What should I do?” swiftly followed by the person sticking their finger in their mouth to show me exactly which tooth is painful. My answers are (in this order):-

  1. Please!  Stop putting your fingers in your mouth!  They carry all kinds of germs that aren't going to help your oral hygiene
  2. Start flossing on daily basis
  3. See your dentist as soon as possible.

People forget that the easiest and cheapest way to keep your teeth for a long time is to spare 10 minutes a day for oral hygiene.  It really is that simple.

When I am not at work you will find me climbing mountains, exploring caves or just relaxing at home.

My favourite dental quotes are: “You don't have to brush all your teeth, just the ones you want to keep.” and “Smile, it lets your teeth breathe.”

On that happy note, I’ll sign off by saying that I’m really looking forward to meeting you on your next visit to Clinic95.
